CUNY TV

Since 2014 I’ve been a producer at CUNY TV, a university-based, public TV channel that airs on cable in New York City (and streaming all content for free on YouTube.) I first worked on studio shows hosted by Brian Lehrer (the WNYC Radio journalist), before moving onto producing segments for magazine shows, including DiverseCITY, Shades of U.S., Urban U. and Latinas. At CUNY TV my work has especially focused on New York communities and neighborhoods, urban planning and housing policy and the political and social sciences. As a producer I find and pitch stories, arrange shoots and work with camera people, write scripts, record voice-over narration, edit video using Premiere Pro (and work with other editors) and work with a team of other producers.
